Licensing & Rights

This Exhibition Hosting Agreement (“Agreement”) governs the use of downloadable exhibition materials, photographs, captions, exhibition assets, and related content provided by Imaginaries of Freedom (“IoF”).
By downloading, accessing, printing, exhibiting, or using any exhibition materials provided by IoF, the host (“Host”) agrees to the following terms.

This Agreement should be read alongside the Imaginaries of Freedom Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

1. Purpose of Licence

Imaginaries of Freedom grants the Host a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use approved exhibition materials solely for the purpose of hosting a non-commercial Imaginaries of Freedom exhibition.

This licence does not transfer ownership or copyright of any materials.

2. Permitted Use

Approved Hosts may:

• print and display approved exhibition materials
• promote the exhibition using supplied promotional assets
• use exhibition materials for educational, awareness, advocacy, or community engagement purposes
• display the exhibition for the approved exhibition period only

3. Prohibited Use

Hosts may not:

• sell exhibition prints or imagery
• charge admission fees primarily for profit
• modify or alter imagery, captions, or contextual materials
• remove photographer credits or copyright information
• use the materials for political campaigning or propaganda
• use imagery in misleading, defamatory, or harmful contexts
• upload or redistribute high-resolution exhibition files online
• sub-license or transfer exhibition assets to third parties
• use imagery for AI training, machine learning datasets, or automated scraping systems
• separate imagery from accompanying captions, contextual information, or attribution

4. Exhibition Integrity

Hosts agree to present the exhibition respectfully and in a manner consistent with the intent and integrity of the project.

Imaginaries of Freedom reserves the right to revoke exhibition permissions if materials are used irresponsibly or outside the scope of this Agreement.

5. Intellectual Property

All imagery, captions, text, and exhibition materials remain the intellectual property of their respective photographers, contributors, or rights holders.

Nothing in this Agreement transfers ownership rights to the Host.

6. Liability

The Host assumes responsibility for:

• printing costs
• venue arrangements
• exhibition installation
• insurance
• public safety compliance

Imaginaries of Freedom is not liable for damages, losses, injuries, or claims arising from the exhibition.

7. Termination

Imaginaries of Freedom may terminate this licence immediately if the Host breaches these terms.

Upon termination, the Host must cease all use of exhibition materials and destroy or delete any digital production files provided.

This Personal Use Licence Agreement governs the purchase and use of downloadable digital images from Imaginaries of Freedom.

By purchasing or downloading imagery from the platform, you agree to the following terms.

1. Licence Grant

Imaginaries of Freedom grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal, non-commercial use only.

This licence does not transfer copyright ownership.

2. Permitted Use

You may:

• download images for personal viewing
• print images for private display in your home
• share images privately with friends or family
• use images as personal device wallpapers

3. Prohibited Use

You may not:

• use images commercially
• resell or redistribute images
• upload images to stock websites
• use images in advertising or marketing
• mint images as NFTs
• use images for AI training or machine learning
• materially alter or manipulate images
• remove captions, credits, or copyright notices
• use images in hateful, defamatory, exploitative, misleading, or contextually distorted ways

4. Copyright & Ownership

All copyrights remain with the original photographer or rights holder.
Purchasing a download grants usage rights only and does not transfer ownership.

5. Refunds

Due to the digital nature of downloadable products, purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Termination

Imaginaries of Freedom may revoke this licence if these terms are violated.

Imaginaries of Freedom approaches commercial licensing carefully and collaboratively, with a strong emphasis on photographer rights, contextual integrity, ethical circulation, and responsible use.
Imaginaries of Freedom offers selected imagery for commercial licensing on a case-by-case basis.

Commercial licensing may include:

• editorial publishing
• exhibitions
• educational materials
• campaigns
• documentaries
• publishing projects
• research initiatives
• brand partnerships
• institutional usage

All commercial usage is subject to:

• photographer approval
• contextual review
• negotiated licensing terms
• agreed usage duration and territory
• written permission

Commercial licences are not automatically granted through this website.

Restricted Uses

Imagery may not be licensed for:

• hateful or discriminatory content
• misinformation or deceptive contexts
• political manipulation
• AI training, machine learning, computer vision datasets, facial recognition systems, or synthetic media generation
• exploitative or unethical usage
• resale as stock imagery
• NFT projects
